Chelsea walk away from potential Mike Maignan deal

Chelsea have walked away from a potential deal for Mike Maignan.
They were offered the AC Milan goalkeeper and they valued him at between €10m and €15m.
They never made an official bid for the player and they refused to consider paying more than their valuation.
It was not a position they were looking at recruiting this summer until they were offered Maignan, who is the France No 1.
It is unlikely they will sign Jamie Gittens from Borussia Dortmund today as they have not been able to agree a deal and time is running out.
That deal can be revisited later this summer.
